Imagine Your Life With Visual Freedom

EVO, also known as the Implantable Collamer Lens, is a type of refractive procedure to help correct the most common visual problem, myopia.

Simply put, EVO is a removable lens implant that is an attractive alternative to LASIK and other refractive procedures.

What is EVO and How Does It Work?

The STAAR Surgical ICL, also known as the Implantable Collamer® Lens, corrects common vision problems, like:

Nearsightedness, Astigmatism, and Farsightedness.

EVO Visian ICL is a soft, flexible lens that is positioned in your eye between the iris (coloured part of the eye) and your natural lens.

EVO Visian ICL can be described as additive vision correction. Unlike other procedures, the EVO Visian ICL procedure does not remove corneal tissue but works in harmony with your natural eyes to provide exceptional quality of vision.

A Quick & Safe Procedure

The ICL procedure is as quick, or faster, than watching an episode of your favourite series and has a short recovery time.

GETTING READY FOR VISUAL FREEDOM

Before the day of your procedure, your Consultant will perform a series of standard tests to measure your eye’s unique characteristics.

TIME FOR YOUR EVO LENS!

When you arrive for your procedure, your Consultant will administer eye drops to dilate and numb your eye.

The Procedure Follows 3 Easy Steps:

Your Consultant will create a small opening at the edge of your cornea to insert the ICL.
The ICL is folded and inserted through this small opening.
Once the lens is inserted, your Consultant will make any necessary adjustments to ensure proper positioning in the eye. The lens is not visible to you or others.

*ICL lenses intended to treat farsightedness are not EVO and require two additional tiny openings in the colored portion of your eyes to ensure there is proper fluid flow after the ICL is implanted.
