Professor Sunil Shah qualified from St. Georges Hospital Medical School and completed his post-graduate training in Torquay, Exeter, Manchester and Nottingham. He has been a Consultant at the Birmingham and Midland Eye Centre since 2000 where he runs a cornea and cataract service.
Professor Shah is a past Section Editor for the British Journal of Ophthalmology and a reviewer for Eye, American Journal of Ophthalmology, Ophthalmology, Investigative Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, Contact Lens and Anterior Eye, Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and Journal of Refractive Surgery.

Mr Sivaraj specialises in medical retinal, macula and cataract services. He has recently been appointed to the International Medical Graduates sub-committee of the Royal College of Ophthalmology.

Mr Park’s impressive capability was evident early in his career as a junior ophthalmology surgical trainee when he was audited to be the best performing cataract surgeon among NW trainee surgeons in the UK.
Mr Park was the first UK surgeon to successfully introduce air tamponade for surgical management of retinal detachment and is currently pioneering innovative vitreoretinal surgical techniques for lamellar macular holes. Additionally, Mr Park is an active researcher and current peer-reviewer for the Journal of Cataract & Refractive Surgery, having authored multiple peer-reviewed publications for prestigious journals and presented his research at numerous national and international conferences.

Mr Saanan Umeed qualified in Pakistan in 1993 and went on to do his post graduate training in Pakistan for four years and then at Dudley Group NHS Trust for a further 3 years. Mr Umeed then moved to Cymtaff NHS Trust in South Wales from 2005 to 2010 as Associate Specialist in General Ophthalmology.
In 2010 Mr Umeed undertook a fellowship in Medical Retina at Bristol Eye Hospital. From 2011 to 2014 Mr Umeed held a consultant position at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board in North Wales.
Following this from 2015 he has been a consultant at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Trust working at both Heartlands Hospital and Solihull Hospital.

Mr Ressiniotis is currently appointed as a Consultant Ophthalmologist at the University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust, leading the glaucoma service at Good Hope Hospital. He provides a top quality comprehensive glaucoma and cataract service, including laser and surgical management of complex glaucoma cases.
He has vast experience in the latest Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery techniques, which he uses to manage glaucoma safely and effectively.
He is also particularly interested in the latest advances in modern small incision cataract surgery, with state of the art intraocular lens implants.
After his specialist training in Newcastle upon Tyne, he completed a two year Fellowship in Glaucoma at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London, where he obtained advanced clinical and surgical skills in the field of glaucoma and complex cataract cases.
During his training he developed a particular interest in glaucoma and cataract surgery through clinical experience, research and teaching. He was awarded the Higher Degree of Doctor of Medicine from Newcastle University in 2007 for his research in the field of Glaucoma Genetics.
Mr Ressiniotis is passionate about teaching and is currently the Royal College of Ophthalmologists Tutor for the trainees in Solihull, Heartlands and Good Hope Hospitals.
